PURPOSE:To reduce the danger of damage of a magnetic disk to be caused by a magnetic head by providing a rotation position detecting member fixed to the main shaft of a stepping motor and a projected part coupled with the detecting member. CONSTITUTION:When rotation of the magnetic disk is stopped when the magnetic head is in R/W zone, and at the same time, current of a magnet 37 is cut off, an actuator 35 is rotated counterclockwise by this accumulated elastic energy, and returned with a sensing arm 33 to initial position, that is, a position where the magnetic head is positioned on CSS zone. The armature of a solenoid 38 is returned by a spring 38a, and the tip is engaged to a notch at the tip of the projected part 38 to prevent free movement of the actuator 35. Accordingly, even if impact force is applied to the magnetic disk from outside, the stepping motor can not move. Therefore, the magnetic head keeps stopping on the CCS zone. Thus, the damage of the magnetic head due to its movement toward R/W zone by impact force from outside during transporting or shifting. |
