PURPOSE:To make adjusting at high accuracy by winding a magnetic tape from a supply hub of the first tape cassette on a take up hub of the second tape cassette through the first and second holes provided in each of the tape cassette. CONSTITUTION:A reference signal from the oscillator 7 of a cassette printer 4 is recorded in a tape supplied from a wound tape 2A of the first tape cassette 1A through a recording amplifier 6A and a recording head 5A. The tape passes a reproducing head 5B through the first and second holes 3A, 3B for tape passing and wound on the second tape cassette 1B. At this time, the recorded reference signal is reproduced through the reproducing head 5B and a reproducing amplifier 6B. Accordingly, by reading output of the reproducing amplifier 6B by an adjusting gauge 8, recording characteristic of an exclusive recording device 4A is known, and the recording head 5A and recording amplifier 6A can be adjusted simply watching a gauge 9.
