PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of test and make unattended test possible by providing a brake tester, which checks automatically the damping force acting upon a vehicle, on the way of an unattended vehicle carrying line and providing a test position where a mechanism which stops automatically this carrying line during checking is provided. CONSTITUTION:When wheels come to a certain position, a slat conveyor 3 or a conveyor 4 is stopped automatically for a certain time by a controller 34, electromagnetic clutches 35 and 36, an optical sensor 37, etc. in case of front wheels or rear wheels. Left and right pairs of wheel driving rolls 38 are driven successively through a rotation transmission mechanism by motor. If wheels are damped by a brake when their rotation number reaches a prescribed value, a shaking case is shaked by drag of rolls 38, and this shake is transmitted to a pinion through a shake lever and a rack, and the damping force is measured by its rotative displacement. |
