PURPOSE:To change gear quickly without causing rattling by quickening the operating speed of shift actuator upto specific stroke while slowing thereafter in gear shift control of an automatic speed changer. CONSTITUTION:A gear shift actuator for controlling a shift fork is comprised of piston 21, actuator rod 25, hydraulic valves 27, 28 and pump 29. It is controlled with high speed upto specific stroke against the target stroke while with low speed from said specific stroke to the final stroke through a stroke sensor 33. Consequently, the gear can be changed over quickly without causing rattling while synchronous operating condition can be detected from the differential rotary speed between input and output shafts to correct the stroke/valve duty characteristic of shift actuator resulting in smooth operation. |
