NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [R<1> is 10-24C alkyl; R<2> is (substituted) imide group; A<+> is cyclic ammonio] or its salt. EXAMPLE:3-Octadecyloxy-2-phthalimidopropyl 2-pyridinioethyl phosphate. USE:A thrombocyte activation factor-inhibiting agent. It has excellent hydrophilic and oleophilic property, and low toxicity. PREPARATION:The objective compound can be produced e.g. by reacting the compound of formula II (Y is Cl, Br or I) with a cyclic amine compund (e.g. pyridine) in a solvent such as methanol or in the absence of solvent. The amount of the amine compound is 1 equivalent or large excess (e.g. 50 times mol) based on the compound of formula II.
