PURPOSE:To permit vertical clamp copying and projection copying by clamp feeding a tracer head on a clamp level set vertically to a feed shaft and again carrying out copying when the tracer head contacts a model. CONSTITUTION:When a tracer head TC reaches a first vertical clamp level LCXN as copying proceeds, coordinate value Xa=X3 is obtained, a monitoring circuit generates signal TDEN, the count value N of a counter 108a becomes 2 and a gate circuit 108c provides Vx=Vy=O, Vz=Vc. Thus, copying in the surface 1 direction is completed, and instead the head TC ascends in the direction of +Z with clamp feed speed Vc on said level LCXN and contacts a projection of a model MDL. Then displacement epsilon>=epsilona is obtained and a comparing circuit generates contact signal CDEN so that the 108a counts down the count value N by 1. Thus, the speed signal Vx=Va, Vz=Vb are obtained for copying the projection. When the head again reaches LCXN, the count value N becomes 2 for clamp copying. |
