PURPOSE:To obtain the titled safe antibody capable of inhibiting effectively periodontitis, by isolating an antigen from pili of a microorganism of the genus Actinomyces, etc. having the ability to induce the periodontitis in the oral cavity, immunizing a mammal with the above-mentioned antigen, and collecting the produced corresponding antibody. CONSTITUTION:An antigen is isolated from pile of a microorganism, e.g. the genus Actinomyces or Bacteroides, having the ability to induce or wosen periodontitis and the pili on the surfaces of cells is isolated, and a mammal is immunized with the above-mentioned antigen to collect the corresponding antibody produced in the body and give the titled antibody. In particular, Actinomyces viscous variant strian K-TL + (FERM-P No.411) and Bacteroides gingivalis strain K-Bg-ml (FERM-P No.410) are advantageous to a raw material for producing the antibody. The above-mentioned antibody can be easily and effectively administered as a noncarious composition, e.g. a dentifrice or candy, by the presence of a cartier or excipient together therewith.
