PURPOSE:To select an instructing specification when necessary to apply it by providing a mode switching means which switches the memory area of the subject data and a discriminating means to an information processor. CONSTITUTION:An instruction containing an operation code A which designates the action to be executed and a register operand B is stored to a register 2. The data on the operand B of a general-purpose register 7 is processed with said instruction by an information processor in accordance with the operand B. A mode register 1 having a mode bit which can designates a mode designating the selection of processing is provided to the information processor. The register 1 is set when the mode is changed. A decoding circuit 3 is connected to a code part A of the register 2, and the output of the circuit 3 and said mode bit control a multiplexer 6 via an AND gate circuit 5. Thus the data on the register 7 and a register 4 which stores the operand B and an operand (B+C) are selected and processed.
