IODINE BATTERY

摘要

PURPOSE:To keep low the self discharging and thereby drastically improve battery life by inserting a cation exchange film into the electrolyte as a separation film. CONSTITUTION:A cation exchange film is inserted into the electrolyte as a separation film 4 in an iodine battery where iodine is fixed by an organic compound and it is used as the active substance of positive pole. The cation exchange film available at the market can directly be used and any type of film where the anion is selectively transmitted and transmission of anion is selectively rejected can be used. The desirable cation exchange film should have less electric resistance and shows intensive resistivity to corrosion for the oxidation and reduction ambient.
