The subject of the invention is a device for collecting and deflecting light which acts as an automatic and static lamp changer. It is made up of one or more optical systems of collection 4 and concentration 9 which are associated with each lamp 2, 3, 4 which acts as a secondary source, an optical transfer system 5 which allows each preceding image to be taken up by a means acting as a coupler 6 which forms a second secondary source which is common to all the original sources, and an optical radiating system 8 which forms the optical system for a horizon light and/or a direction light depending on the focal distance of the said optical system of the said light. The invention applies particularly to lights for aircraft and shipping. <IMAGE>
