PURPOSE:To improve the focusing performance around a screen and the concentrated error of a side beam by increasing the inner diameter of a deflection yoke core to the electron gun side at the electron gun side end. CONSTITUTION:The inner diameter of a deflection yoke core 8 is increased to the electron gun side at the electron gun side end. As a result, in this area, a protruded vertical deflection magnetic field is reinforced to the electron gun side, deconcentrated operation is increased for a side beam, the electron beam spot distortion on the screen vertical axis end and the orthogonal axis end, and good peripheral focusing is obtained. Besides, since the nonuniformity of the vertical deflection magnetic field is weakened, the deflection unit design that eliminates the concentrated error of the side beam is facilitated and as a result, good concentration characteristics can be obtained. |
