PURPOSE:To enhance equibrium of inertia forces by providing a non-uniform power transmission system such as a train of elliptic gearing or a train of eccentric gearing, thereby to let the inertia force of a balancer have higher-order component. CONSTITUTION:An elliptic gear 4 is disposed at the end of a crankshaft 3, and the elliptic gear 4 is always engaged with an elliptic gear 5 on an idler shaft 13. A further elliptic gear 6 is fixed to the idler shaft 13, and the elliptic gear 6 is always engaged with an elliptic gear 7 on a balancer shaft 20. Thus, two trains of elliptic gearing 4, 5 and 6, 7 are interposed between the crankshaft 3 and the balancer shaft 20. In this arrangement, the inertia force of a balancer can have higher-order components so that vibration can be restrained in proportion to the higher-order components of inertia force of a piston-crank mechanism. |
