PURPOSE:To prevent the drying of the surface of a coating solution by flowing out the vapor of the solvent in the solution allowed to fill a coating solution receiving container from a gap at the time of the coating of a drum, by arranging a ring shaped lid provided to the upper part of said receiving container so as to provide a proper gap between said lid and a drum. CONSTITUTION:A coating solution receiving container 1 receiving a coating member 11 such as a blade and a coating solution 12 has a ring shaped lid 13 mounted to the upper part thereof and said lid 13 has an inner diameter properly larger than the outer diameter of a drum 2 and the minute gap 131 between both of them is set to a range of about 0.5-5mm. Because the receiving container 1 is held in an air-tight state by the ring shaped lid 13, for example, the vapor of an org. solvent such as tetrahydrofran having specific gravity heavier than that of air is allowed to always fill the receiving container 1. Because the filling vapor is flowed out from the gap 131 with the rising of the drum 2 at the time of coating, no open air is flowed in the receiving container and the drying of the surface of the coating solution is prevented. |
