PURPOSE:To obtain the steering ratio corresponding to the traveling state of a car by installing a steering-ratio varying mechanism for varying the capacity between the cylinder in a front-wheel steering system and the cylinder in a rear- wheel steering system. CONSTITUTION:When a steering 3 is steered in the right direction and the steering angle of a front wheel cecomes over a prescribed value, and the hydraulic pressure in the left chamber 7c of a front cylinder 7 reaches over the set load of the return spring 17e of an accumulator 17, oil starts to flow into the accumulator 17 from a passage 15 through an inflow passage 18. Then, the capacity between the front cylinder 7 and a rear cylinder 14 increases, and the variation rate of the capacity of the rear cylinder 14 due to the front cylinder 7 reduces, and therefore, the ratio between the steering angle of the front wheel and that of the the rear wheel reduces, and rear wheels 9L and 9R are steered in the right direction with said reduced steering ratio. |
