This process involves crushing the extracted materials and producing a mortar by the addition of water and of a binder, in such a way that the setting phenomenon takes place within 24 to 48 hours after the casting, the surrounding ground being water-bearing or not. The binder used is conventional: cement or lime with a possible addition of fly ash. The choice and dosage of the binder are a function of the type of materials to be treated, their moisture, their possible aggressiveness and the objects to be achieved: mechanical resistance, sealing, etc. This process can be used in soil consolidation for foundations of structures, sealing of dyke cores, filling of underground cavities, etc.
