PURPOSE:To secure the effective starting for a processor by dividing the control data for selection of a desired function, etc. into plural blocks and setting and branching successively the results of said divisions to a data memory for each parameter group. CONSTITUTION:The initialization is carried out for a register, etc. by an initializing part 14, and a control data reading part 15 controls a program counter to read the control data to an internal register. The control data consists of three data blocks. The 1st data block selects a parameter setting microprogram 17 or 18 and sets it to a data memory according to the result of discrimination of a discriminating part 16. A branch selection control data discriminating part 19 discriminates the 2nd data block and divides it into branch routes 31 and 32. Then the processing microporgrams are executed through discriminating parts 22 and 23. Thus it is possible to attain one of eight types of functions and characteristics.
