PURPOSE:To hold down the temperature of delivered hot water within a certain fixed amount by a method wherein, when the flow rate of running water becomes so small that the temperature of delivered hot water exceeds the set temperature by a certain fixed amount because of the existence of minimum gas flow rate necessary for maintaining combustion, valves to control fuel are closed and, when the temperature of delivered hot water falls down below the set temperature by a certain fixed amount, a burner is ignited again. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is equipped with an ignition device 5 to ignite a burner 6, a flame detecting device 7 to confirm the ignition of the burner 6, a heat exchanger 9, which is heated by the burner 6 in order to heat running water, a thermistor 10 to detect the temperature of hot water delivered from the heat exchanger 9, a valve 4 to shut-off fuel supply to the burner 6 and a proportioning valve 8 to change the amount of fuel supplied to the burner 6. In addition, a control device 2 controls the valves 4 and 8 so as to bring the temperature of delivered hot water to theset temperature upon the receipt of the signals sent from the device 7 and the thermistor 10, when the gas flow rate reaches the minimum gas flow rate necessary for maintaining combustion. Thus, even when the flow rate of running water is within the small flow rate range, the deviation of the temperature of delivered hot water from the set temperature can be held down within a certain fixed amount. |
