PURPOSE:To obtain beautiful covered yarns having well-balanced and improved form stability, by jetting steam on running yarns before winding, and setting the yarns under wet heat conditions. CONSTITUTION:A yarn 10 having a covering yarn 6 entangled with a core yarn (W) is wound by a take-up roller 7 while being drafted between feed rollers 4 and top rollers 5. A steam pipe 12 is provided between the top rollers 5 and the take-up roller 7 to jet steam (S) on the yarn 10 for setting under wet heat conditions. Thus, heat shrinkage and swelling behavior action is caused. |
