PURPOSE:To raise a toner collecting efficiency by forming a magnetic brush and executing a cleaning. CONSTITUTION:A voltage whose polarity is opposite to a toner is applied to a conductive belt 8, and a toner removed by slide-rubbing and attraction from a toner image holding body 1 is carried together with a carrier. A residual toner is made to adhere to the belt 8 from a cleaning carrier 9 by a ground opposed electrode 10. A fixed magnet 11 transfers the carrier 9 and transfers easily the toner adhering to the carrier, onto the belt 8. A cover 12 surrounds a unit consisting of a magnetic brush forming magnet 3, the belt 8, etc., and the bottom part forms a circulating path of the carrier. A toner removing member 13 consists of an elastic rubber blade, etc., and scrapes down the toner adhering to the surface of the belt 8. The scraped toner is contained in a collecting vessel 14. The collected toner is carried to the collecting part by a carrying screw 15. |
