Mechanism for converting a constant or linearly variable force into a progressive force

A simple mechanism for converting a constant or linearly variable force (G) into a progressive force (P) contains a tackle line (4) which runs over at least one fixed pulley (1) and a loose pulley (2, 2'). Identical forces (G) act on the ends of the tackle line (4). The rope sections leading to the loose pulley (2, 2') enclose a similar angle. The loose pulley (2, 2') is guided on a guide (5) so that it maintains its position even during a change (6) of the rope attachment (3) for changing the progression characteristic of the force (P).
