Road reflector posts are to a great extent destroyed or damaged deliberately by bending over so that a high replacement requirement constantly exists. The road reflector post according to the invention is made from a thermoplastic caoutchouc and is open on its side facing away from the roadway. As a result of the technical properties of caoutchouc and the shaping, no fracture occurs even when frequent bending takes place. The service life is practically unlimited as the material neither ages nor tends to form cracks as a result of continuous bending load.
