An optical aiming device having an aiming telescope (2) which is inserted into the hole of a retaining part (1), for example of a rifle carrying handle, as a closed, optical system. For adjustment, the aiming telescope (2) has a closed joint (6), which is adjustable with respect to the retaining part (1) by adjusting means (12, 13, 14), in the region of its aiming mark (7). In the region of its eyepiece (4) and its objective (3), the telescope (2) rests in a sealing manner on the inner wall of the retaining part (1) in every adjustment position. <IMAGE>
