Method and device for providing reinforcement inserts for grinding wheels

In this method, the punched reinforcement insert is returned to the punched hole of the web of fabric once punching has been completed and the web of fabric is then conveyed further together with the insert. The web of fabric is deflected when it is conveyed further, the reinforcement insert being removably released from the web of fabric. A device to achieve this has a punching unit with a return unit for the punched insert and a discharging section which is provided with a bent section for modification of the conveying direction of the web of fabric, in which section the insert is released from the rest of the web of fabric.
