<p>In order to knot the bond (4) wound by a rotating guiding member (1) around a piece of goods (2), there is provided a knotting unit (6) and a hook support (8) with two hooks (12, 13). A feed device (7) is actively associated with the knotting unit (6) and brings to the latter a bound loop (39). The knotting machine comprises a finger (27) which pushes the portion of the bond (4) coming out of the guiding member (1) towards the two hooks (12, 13). The latter retain temporarily the bond (4) so as to enable the tieing of the front end (40) of the loop (39) at the bond end portion (38). The second hook (13) is provided with a knife (23) which, when proceeding to the opening, cuts the front end (40) and retains the brought bond (4).</p> |
