Process and device for feeding a scatterable plastics material to a plastics plastication machine

Plastics material scattered in a uniformly distributed manner over the entire reception width of a horizontally and evenly guided conveyor belt is fed to a plastics plastication machine by the said conveyor belt as a layer of material which is as thin as possible, any metal particles contained in the layer of material being separated out of the plastic to be fed to the plastication machine by means of a magnetic metal separator which is effective over the entire belt width.
