<p>With this drive, a conical drive roller (25) is secured to a drive motor (27) on a frame-like support (14), thereby enabling to provide a simple and strongly built drive unit which is arranged so as to be displaced sideways in a track guide of a support base (11), thereby enabling to modify continuously the transmission from the friction roller (25) to the wheel (7). In the line of the wheel axis (7') with the friction roller axis (24) in parallel to said axes, the support (14) comprises a stirrup (14'') on which is bearing the spring-armed pressure roller (18) of the clamping stirrup (15) when the drive is engaged. The pressure roller (18) is arranged in the plane of the wheel axis (7') in the middle of the tyre, the clamping pressure acting directly on the middle of the tyre without any lateral torsion of the support (14) and independently of the side displacement of the support (14), thereby resulting in an excellent adherence and enabling a light construction of the support (14) and of the support base (11). Under the pressure roller (18) there is arranged on the clamping stirrup (15) a catch (17) which takes the stirrup (14'') by underneath and is raised from the tyre (10) when the drive is disengaged.</p> |
