Gas heating boiler with a combustion space (2), an adjoining flue (4) and a heating register (1) surrounding at least the flue (4), conducting water to be heated, constructed as a double-walled lamella, and curved in a serpentine shape in the region above the combustion space (2), and in which the front side of the boiler is provided with a removable front plate (7) which has a passage opening (11) for a burner and also an air entry (14) into the combustion space (2). The front plate (7) forms on its outer side a chamber (9) through which air flows, and from which the air entering the chamber (9) at the chamber periphery is supplied in the region of the passage opening (11) to the combustion space (2). <IMAGE>
