PURPOSE:To attain a stable output level even in case of a bad line quality by extracting a non-modulated pattern part in a burst reception signal and supplying it to detecting and peak holding parts. CONSTITUTION:A terminal (1) of a variable gain amplifier 2 is connected to a terminal 20 through a band-pass filter 1, and a terminal (2) of the amplifer 2 is connected to a terminal 21, and a terminal (3) of the amplifier 2 is connected to the terminal 21 through a peak holding part 3, a detecting part 4, and a band-pass filter 5. The detecting part 4 and the peak holding part 3 detects a part of the output of the variable gain amplifier 2, which amplifies the band- liminted burst reception signal, and hold its peak value. The output of detecting and peak holding means is applied to the variable gain amplifier 2. Then, the non-modulated pattern part in the burst reception signal is extracted and is supplied to detecting and peak holding parts.
