PURPOSE:To inform the kind of a magnetic bubble memory cassette to a device main body by installing a reflection type light sensor at the side of a cassette holder and detecting the kind of magnetic bubble memory device contained in the cassette by utilizing the difference in reflectance at the side of a cassette. CONSTITUTION:A light reflecting seal 23 having different light reflectance in accordance with the kind of memory devices is applied to the outside of a magnetic bubble memory cassette 21. A reflecting type light sensor 25 provided on a cassette holder 24 detects reflecting light beams from the light reflecting seal 23 in the cassette holder 24. Its output voltage is compared with reference voltages of reference voltage setting variable resistances 33 and 34 by a comparator 32, and signals 35 and 36 showing cassette kinds are outputted. |
