PURPOSE:To stabilize contact between a magnetic head and a recording medium and improve the signal conversion efficiency by providing a constitution where the distance between the groove part installed at the inside of the slider of the magnetic head and the recording medium becomes the maximum in the outlet direction by making an inlet and outlet to have the same sectional shape. CONSTITUTION:A recording medium flows into the groove part of a slider 5' of a magnetic head by shifting the protrusion with a speed inclination 10 accompanying the shift of the recording medium in an arrow direction 8. The inlet and the outlet of the groove part have the same sectional shape, but the groove has a constitution that the distance between the groove and the recording medium becomes the maximum in the outlet direction. Therefore, a resistance force 5 works on the slider 5' in the recording medium direction by the counterreaction of the air flow which passes the groove part. Therefore, stabilized contact between the magnetic head and the recording medium can be obtained, the signal conversion efficiency of the magnetic head can be improved, and the breakage of the recording medium can be prevented. |
