The invention relates to the application of a corrosion protection layer to the surface of electric motors and the components thereof by immersion, spraying or coating with an organosilicon plastic. In order to save energy costs, 1- or 2-component elastomers of different viscosities and grafted with organic groups as fillers are used as coating material.
