PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity, durability, etc., by using a specified hydrazone compd. for a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:A layer formed on a conductive substrate incorporates a hydrazone compd. represented by the formula shown here in which R1 is optionally substd. alkyl, alkenyl, or aralkyl; R2 is H, or optionally substd. alkyl, aralkyl, or aryl; R3 is optionally substd. alkyl, alkenyl, or aralkyl; and (n) is 0 or 1. Said compd. is synthesized by heating a ketone compd. together with a pyridylhydrazine compd. in a molar ratio of 1:1 in an alcoholic type solvent, and it is combined with an org. pigment to form a functionally separated type photosensitive body. |
