Optoelectronic end-of-tape cutout

In the case of an end-of-tape cutout for a video, audio or data recording and/or reproducing apparatus having an optoelectronic device for detecting transparent beginning-of-tape and end-of-tape areas of a recording carrier, the input of a threshold switch, determining the threshold, is coupled to a digital-analog converter which can be controlled by means of a microcomputer. In this arrangement, the microcomputer adaptively sets automatically the interval between the switching thresholds and the quiescent voltage of the optoelectronic device required for error-free detection of the transparent beginning-of-tape and end-of-tape areas.
