PURPOSE:To obtain a copy whose page order is complete by designating from which scanning is started, the right or the left, in an electrophotographic copying machine for executing a scanning to the right and left pages of a spread original by dividing it into two times, and copying it to other transfer paper. CONSTITUTION:A left page X of an original 2 opened and placed on an original glass 1 is scanned and exposed in the direction S by an exposing lamp 3 extending from a home position to a reference position in the vicinity of a seam of the center. Subsequently, a right page Y is scanned extending from the reference position to a terminal. By instructing which scanning is executed first, the left page X or the right page Y, in accordance with whether a book is a right binding or a left binding, a copy whose page order is complete is obtained. As for a copying mode, that which copies the right and left pages on both faces of a sheet of paper, that which copies the right and left pages on one face of two sheets of paper, and that which copies both the right and left pages on a sheet of paper (size of two times as large as the page) can be selected. |
