摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain high precision connector terminals easily and simply, by aligning the optical fiber and plug sleeve by utilizing the accurate geometrical array of sphers of steel or glass which is easy to machine, highest in dimensional precision, and inexpensive. CONSTITUTION:Three spheres 10 of the same diameter are arrayed by mutually contacting, and a triangular recess is formed in the center. Three spheres 11 of the larger diameter than that of the spheres 10 are arrayed on the same plane and secured so that each one may contact with two of the spheres 10. In this case, when the dimensional precision of the spheres 10, 11 is excellent, the center of the triangular recess formed by the three spheres 10 and the common center of the three spheres 11 arrayed on the same plane coincide with each other at high precision. An optical fiber 1 is set up vertically in the triangular recess in the array plane, and a plug sleeve 2 is set up so as to contact with the three spheres 11 and held vertically on the array plane, then the central axis of the optical fiber 1 is made to coincide with the center of the outside diameter of the plug sleeve 2 at high precision. Then, an adhesive is poured into the gap between the optical fiber 1 and sleeve 2, which are then secured together.
