A folding box for dispatching sample containers, in which two lateral closure tabs and a central lid tab close the lateral openings of the elongate box body which consists of a bottom, a top and two side walls, the lateral tabs (3) being integral with the side walls (7) and the lid tab being integral with the top (1), and it being possible for the tongue (8) of the lid tab (4) to be bonded to the bottom (2) by a seal, the lateral tabs (3) being pivoted in below said lid tab when the box is closed. <IMAGE>
