The invention relates to an acoustic seal for joints between sound-insulating, double-layered hollow wall panels having a panel joining means configured in the form of a tongue-and-groove connection. Sound-insulating, double-layered hollow wall panels have been proposed whose two outer layers are connected to each other by means of softly sprung strips which are arranged on the edge regions of the intermediate cavity and are aligned flush with the end faces of the layers. A known arrangement of this type has the disadvantage that, when erecting the hollow wall panel with the help of jointing mortar, there is the danger that said mortar may be displaced along the strip, in alignment with the end faces of the layers, towards the centre of the panel and thus produce a bridge for structure-borne sound transmission. It is the object of the invention to eliminated these disadvantages. The object is achieved by the springs being of a softly sprung design and having a dynamic rigidity of 20 MN/m<3>. The springs may also be composed of relatively rigid material, for example rigid foam or plastic film, and exhibit a soft spring action effected by being shaped for instance in the form of a U.
