A self-supporting composite panel 10 for double floors, ceilings or the like includes a trough- shaped external reinforcement 12 of weatherproof steel sheet, into which anhydride 13 is introduced in the liquid condition, as a filler material. Before that, at least the inside of the trough-shaped reinforcement 12 is exposed to weathering so that a strongly adherring, rough oxidic cover layer 14 is formed at said inside, the cover layer 14 producing the bonding action between the reinforcement 12 and the hardened anhydrite 13. <IMAGE>
