PURPOSE:To improve the wetting property of magnetic powder to be mixed with plastics having no polar group by treating the surface of the magnetic powder with a treating soln. prepd. by dissolving a silane coupling agent in an org. solvent to a proper concn. CONSTITUTION:The surface of magnetic powder of barium ferrite or other ferrite is coated with a treating soln. prepd. by dissolving 0.1-3.0wt% silane coupling agent such as vinyltrichlorosilane in an org. solvent such as methanol, acetone, methyl acetate or toluene. By the treatment the wetting property of the magnetic powder to low density PE, PP or the like is improved, so the powder is easily mixed with such plastics. In result, a magnetic sheet having superior workability, elongation and mechanical strength such as tensile strength and tearing strength can be obtd. by working such plastics mixed with the surface treated magnetic powder into a film. |
