PURPOSE:To obtain a low-cost split sleeve with rotation stop for optical connector by providing a rotation stop, which should be inserted to a slit groove of a housing, on the outside of the extension in the radial driection of the side edge part of a slit of the slit sleeve. CONSTITUTION:An elastic split sleeve 10 with rotation stop obtained by working a blank 9 cylindrically is provided with a slit 10A in the axial direction. The split sleeve 10 with rotation stop has 0.25-0.30mm. thickness, and its inside diameter is smaller than the outside diameter of a ferrule by 0.01-0.02mm.. The side edge part of the slit 10A is extended in the radial direction, and a rotation stop 10a is provided on the outside. Since the rotation stop 10a is inserted to the deep slit groove of the housing, the split sleeve 10 with rotation stop and the housing are engaged with each other surely in the circumferential direction, and they are not rotated relatively. The blank 9 consists of a copper slid solution alloy plate, for example, a beryllium copper plate having the same thickness as the split sleeve 10 with rotation stop and is used to form the split sleeve 10 with rotation stop. |
