PURPOSE:To prevent generation of a solidified shell near the triple points of gates, rolls and a molten metal by providing nozzles for supplying an inert gas from a chamber for contg. the inert gas toward the triple points. CONSTITUTION:An inert gas is supplied by respective nozzles 11 from a chamber 9 for contg. the inert gas provided in barrel guides 7 toward triple points. The molten metal 2 positioned near the triple points are forcibly discharged from the inside of a notch 8 and is stirred by bubbling, by which the stagnation of the molten metal 2 near the triple points is made much harder and the generation of a solidified shell is more surely prevented. The sealing property between the guides 7 and rolls 1 is improved as well by the supply of the inert gas.
