PURPOSE:To restart and continue the processing which is disconnected owing to the breakdown of a certain processor system with the back-up of another processor system, by providing two control information memories exclusive for storage of control information. CONSTITUTION:An input telegram is received by a line controller 301 and stored to a main memory 201 via a channel device 111. A processor 101 checks the telegram and reads the desired file data out of a disk device 310 to produce an updated data from the telegram data and the file data. This updated data is first written to a control information memory 211 in the form of the journal information then to a control information memory 212. Therefore a processor 102 checks the contents of memories 211 and 212 in case the processor 101 is brokendown. Thus the processing can be restarted and continued by making use of the contents of an area corresponding to the processor 101.
