<p>A milling cutter (10) having an adjustable finishing insert assembly (30) provided with a finishing insert pocket (32) having a planar bottom wall (40) disposed at an inclined angle relative to the planar surface (16) of the cutter. A locating seat (34), having a finishing insert (36) fixedly mounted therein, is adjustably mounted within the insert pocket (32). By adjusting the position of the locating seat (34) relative to the insert pocket (32), the angle of the cutting edge of the finishing insert (36), relative to the milling cutter (10) is varied.</p> |
