PURPOSE:To decrease the contact surface pressure of both casting molds and to prevent generation of seizure, scratching flaw, etc. with a continuous casting device consisting of a reciprocating casting mold and a belt casting mold by supporting the reciprocating mold by means of a supporting member fixed to a frame. CONSTITUTION:A reciprocating casting mold 1 is supported by the top surface of a supporting member 13 and repeats linear reciprocating motion in parallel with the mold plane. The member 13 bears the own weight of the mold 1, the weight of cooling water and all the other external downward components of force exerted on the mold 1. On the other hand, a belt mold 2 is pressed to the bottom end face of the mold 1 by a pressing member 14. The pressing force is generated by a pressing mechanism 15 and is finely adjustable when the pressure of the oil (or air) supplied thereto is regulated. |
