A fastening particularly for securing the flaps of a vehicle platform comprises a main bolt (7) which is associated with a flap (1) of a vehicle platform and which is movable into and out of a hole associated with a post (2), by means of an operating mechanism (9, 10, 10'). The bolt (7) has a hook (11) which projects laterally from it and whose width plus the width of the bolt is less than the width of the hole. The operating mechanism includes an auxiliary bolt (8) which is adapted, in the securing operation, to be moved into the hole alongside the main bolt and which has a width exceeding the difference between the width of the hole and the total width of the main bolt and the hook element in order, when engaged in the hole, to lock the hook element behind an abutment (12) defining the hole. <IMAGE>
