PURPOSE:To fuse mother phase existing in the space between corpuscles within a short period by washing with acid, smashing into powder and then washing with acid in the separation and extraction process. CONSTITUTION:Adequate amounts of barium carbonate, boric acid oxide, zinc oxide are measured and mixed and a mixture is dissolved within a platinum crucible. Thereafter it is cooled suddenly and is formed as amorphous frake. After the heat processing at 800 deg.C during 4hr, a hexagonal barium ferrite particle is precipitated and the mother phase part and precipitated particle are separated by the following three methods using the 20% hot acetic acid. Here, three methods mean the chemical processing during 4hr, smashing and chemical processing during 4hr and smashing after chemical processing during 2hr and chemical processing during 1hr. According to this three methods, the mother phase part is not perfectly fused by the first method, disbribution of particle size is too large in the second method and the magnetic powder having distinctive particle shape and uniform distribution of particle size can be obtained first by the third method. |
