<p>PURPOSE:To heat a steel bar material, etc. in short time with good controllability and to economize energy by using electrical heating in a furnace core pipe for main heating in a low-temp. region and induction heating for finish heating in a high-temp. region. CONSTITUTION:A metallic pipe 2 having a space 3 in a furnace core pipe 1 is provided and the ends of the pipe 2 are clamped by electrodes 4. The outside of the assembly is coated with a heat insulating material 5. A commercial power source 6 is connected to the electrodes 4 and electricity is conducted to the pipe 2 to maintain a high-temp. atmosphere in the space 3. An induction heater 7 formed by coating a high-frequency coil 8 with a heat insulating material 9 is disposed adjacently to the furnace core pipe heater 1. A steel bar material A, etc. are fed into the space 3 of the pipe 1 and is uniformly heated from the surface and the inside. The steel material, etc. are then fed into the heater 7 and are heated to the high-temp. region of the temp. adequate for forging by the coil 8.</p> |
