PURPOSE:To obtain a foam excellent in elasticity, contour copying ability, elongation and tensile strength, by thermally expanding an oily liquid formed by mixing vinyl chloride resin with a plasticizer, an oil and a blowing agent. CONSTITUTION:A pasty oily liquid is formed by mixing 100pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin with 150-500pts.wt. plasticizer, 50-500pts.wt. oil compatible with the plasticizer (e.g., machine oil) and 2-30pts.wt. blowing agent selected from the group consisting of azo types, nitroso types, hydrazide types, and combinations thereof in a kneader or the like. The resulting mixture is placed in a mold or poured onto a base and expanded by heating to 150-190 deg.C.
