PURPOSE:To make the size of the depth of an air conditioner small, by so constituting the titled air conditioner that a ventilation port provided with a rotary damper is provided on a partition plate dividing the inside of a box body into an indoor and outdoor sides on a diagonal line, in the air conditioner which is capable of introducing the open air. CONSTITUTION:At the time of cooling, the opening part 18 of a damper 22 is closed and indoor air and outdoor air are ventilated respectively to an indoor suction port 5, an evaporator 6, an indoor cross flow fan 8 and an indoor discharge port 7 and an outdoor suction port 10, a condenser 11, an outdoor cross flow fan 13 and an outdoor discharge port 12 as shown by a full line arrow. When ventilation is performed by taking outdoor air into a room, an opening part 18 is opened by turning the damper 22 into a state shown with a chain line with a dot by a damper motor 19, the indoor air is discharged outdoor as per a broken line and the outdoor air is taken in. With this constitution, the locus of the damper can be controlled small and the size of a depth can be made small.
