PURPOSE:To call an opposite telephone set with automatic dial or an abbreviated dial from an optional telephone set by providing a sound coupler and an automatic dial function or an abbreviated dial function to a portable electronic telephone book boring lots of telephone numbers to an electronic memory so as to use the sound coupler. CONSTITUTION:The portable electronic telephone book 1 storing lots of telephone numbers to the electronic memory 11 is provided with the sound coupler 13 and an automatic function or an abbreviated dial function comprising an automatic dial circuit 9, an automatic dial button 8, a PB signal transmitter 12 and a CPU10 or the like and a selection signal corresponding to an opposite telephone number is transmitted to a telephone line 4 via a transmitter 3 of a telephone set 2 from the sound coupler by connecting the sound coupler 13 to the transmitter 3 of the telephone set 2 acoustically and depressing the automatic dial button 8, the telephone exchange 5 is activated, the opposite telephone line 6 is selected and connected so as to call the opposite telephone set 7. |
